Holy crap, I have watchers!

Fri Jul 3, 2009, 7:04 PM
Howdy all,

Well, as you can tell by my rather large deviation dump, I've been more then a bit busy! There is more then this, I just have to track down all the pics first!

So far this year I've gotten into going to gamer-cons in costume, brewing beer, gardening, environment photography, and more then a couple attempts at trying to design beer labels.

As for my as of yet unfinished Disturbed Mask project, I will be finishing it this year. The main reason for the delay has been waiting for the comissioner to get me the cash to buy the raw materials I'll need to finish the mask. Seeing as how I don't like things laying around unfinished, I will be finishing the mask for myself sometime in September. I'm sorry to keep those who are interested waiting, but money is a bit tight, and I have a cross-country trip to make in late August.

A cross country trip, you say? Why yes! My buddy and I will be driving from Ohio, down to Miami, and back during a five day period starting on August 25th. The catch? We're doing the entire trip while dressed up as the Blues Brothers. Why? Sheer randomness at first, but now we're going to get everything down on film so we use it as part of a larger overall movie project we are working on. We're still debating on how to present the larger project, as we are still working on scripting it, but we are thinking of setting it up as a Youtube serial and whoring the whole shebang out to whatever film festivals will take it. Money = Good

Halloween Project

Wed Oct 22, 2008, 2:39 PM
Howdy all,

Well it's been over a year, but I finally have some new stuff in the gallery! yea!

I've been making masks and doing special effects makeup for neigh on 10 years at this point, so it's not uncommon when friends ask me to get them setup for a good costume/makeup for Halloween. About a month ago my most metal headed friend broached the subject of having me make a mask based on Disturbed's mascot The Face. I haven't made a mask this year, so I figured it would be a gas.

After I get this sucker molded and into latex, I'm going to do a flat black base, probably some purple in there for lighter details, and stark white for the teeth and eyes. For the eyes themselves, I'll be using a white mesh/transparent cloth to cover them, and red LEDs hooked up behind them for that red, hellish glow.

Don't worry, I'll have pics of it up next week!

Mornin all,

well, it's about damn time for me to update, so I did. I've been sitting on this stuff for a couple of months due to my scanner being more fried then KFC's menu. So far, I've added one new commission and two pics of a test zombie makeup I did for my special effects resume'. If anyone needs any form of ghoul or monster, I'm available.

Heya all,

Sorry about the lack up updates for the past....month. Classes are coming to a screeching halt this friday, so I'll have time again to get my half finished stuff finished, which will be a relief to my comissions. and yes, I do have quite a backlog ready to post, just need to get my scanner back from the shop; The bill was a bit pricier then I expected.

Anywho, expect some new radically different stuffs, some of the usual fair, and some actually coherent posts soon!

Devious Journal Entry

Thu Nov 2, 2006, 8:33 PM
Journal eh?

Mornin all,

well, if you can't tell by the latest entries in the gallery, I'm taking on more and more tattoo commissions. I have quite a few more that will be posted up within a week or so as soon as my scanner is back up and running. Amoung the incoming are a lower back piece that I'm rather fond of, an armband thats still being fine tuned, and mayhap even a full back piece. I've also recieved a wide variety of requests varying from your basic butterfly anklets to a nascar themed groin piece.

Odd thing about this all is that I'm not advertising at all. All I do is just sit and sketch, and the people come to me. Granted, it's a coffee joint located in a popular hub between three colleges, and granted even further, I'm not complaining about the whole $50 a pop just to sit on my ass and sketch part of the deal. Still, it is a bit disarming to be enjoying some coffee and a good sketch one minute, and the next having a rather burly gentleman come up and explain exactly HOW he wants you to decorate his genitalia. And yes, for the sake of sanity I will not be posting that particular piece. This is one I'll be glad to let slip through the cracks in my memory.

SO! If anyone out there needs something funky for a tat, I'd be more then happy to supply one for my rather linent fee of $50.
